Homes for sale

livingroomIn addition to providing social housing for rent, we also have a number of schemes to give people the opportunity to buy their own home. The schemes available are:

New Build Homebuy (shared ownership): This scheme enables people who cannot afford to buy a home outright because of the costs involved the opportunity to buy their own home. Newly built homes are purchased through a housing association on a part sale/part rent basis.

Open Market Homebuy: Where purchasers can buy a home on the open market with the assistance of an equity loan.

Social Homebuy: This is a scheme funded by the Housing Corporation which allows some tenants to buy their current home on a part rent basis, receiving a discount on the initial purchase price.

First Time Buyers' Initiative (FTBI): This is delivered through the regeneration agency English Partnerships. It enables first time buyers who cannot otherwise afford to buy a home outright, to buy a minimum 50% share of a new home on a designated FTBI development.

Further information on each of these schemes is available on the Homebuy page.
