Isos is taking on the best possible team to check on the quality of services to tenants - tenants themselves.

Isos is always looking for ways to improve, and the group's Peer Review team has already completed two checks of group functions and awarded one and two star grades - in line with how the Audit Commission works.

But now the Peer Review team has gained three new members, who are all residents of Isos Group homes, and they are ready for their first assignment next month - to check the quality of group member NomadE5's voids management service.

The three residents who have joined the Peer Review team are all members of the six strong Customer Review Team, another forum intended to ensure residents are at the forefront of how Isos operates and influence the group's priorities.

To ensure the inspection at NomadE5 is carried out in a fair and objective manner, all the staff members of the Peer Review team have been selected from other parts of the group.

Graham Brown, group business director of Isos Housing Group, said: "Our residents expect to receive a high level of service from our staff, and involving the residents themselves in this process is an excellent way to ensure we are doing everything correctly.

"Our staff can also benefit from the different perspective provided by those on the receiving end of the services they provide. It should be a great learning experience for all concerned. The resident reviewers have been trained for the task and are raring to go!"
