What is Welfare Rights Advice?

Welfare Rights Advice is information about which benefits and tax credits you can claim, and what to do if you are not happy with a benefit or tax decision.

It also provides information about how to manage money problems with things such as gas, electricity, telephone, rent, credit cards or store cards. We can also tell you about different and cheaper ways to borrow, other than using a doorstep lender.

NomadE5 has a Welfare Rights Advisor.

What can the Welfare Rights Advisor help me with?

They can:

  • help to increase your weekly income by checking to see if you are claiming all the benefits and tax credits you are entitled to
  • help you to complete claim forms including renewal forms
  • help you to appeal against benefit decisions
  • give you advice about how to manage any debts you may have.

There are many benefits and these are just a few which you may be able to claim:

  • Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Tax Credits
  • Carer's Allowance
